Initial situation
The company management is aware that its well-trained and educated employees are valuable resources and that there is fierce competition in their field. A loss of reputation as an employer would cause significant damage to the company.
This is what happened to Valerie, a member of the junior product management project team. At the beginning of the project, she and her project manager Marco had a good professional relationship among colleagues. But as the project progressed, he began using more and more intimate vocabulary and often made dubious comments. Yet she depended on a good relationship with her boss. Eventually, she withdrew completely from private and personal conversations with him, but at the expense of her professional goals.

Incident and
first reaction
Over time, she lost her professional ambition and has not had a good time at work since. Eventually, she couldn’t help but notify HR through the online platform where personal issues can be placed openly or anonymously. The management is aware of the potential damage and immediately sets up a working group. These are to examine whether this is a systematic weakness in the corporate culture and how the company can be protected against such incidents in the future.
Notification
An internal working group is set up on the Pulpius platform, led by Christine from HR and some of her colleagues. The CxO members are involved as observers.

Incident management
While Valerie is being helped on one side, the workgroup is conducting interviews throughout the organisation on the other. The interviews are conducted using the template function of the Pulpius system. This makes it completely transparent for the management when and with whom the interviews took place and what the observation protocols look like. During the systematic investigation, it is found that in some departments employees complain about the authoritarian culture, because it favours abuse of power. In light of these findings, the working group concludes with recommendations for the company. The company can launch internal campaigns, promote team-based working with flatter hierarchies, or even consider major restructuring.
Additional notes: Large organisations may have dedicated internal platforms where sensitive personal issues can be addressed. The Pulpius platform is also ideally suited for this purpose. Incidents can be opened not only internally with team-based scope, so only those invited can see them. If they are personal, they are not displayed on any device by default when opening the platform’s start page.
Benefit
Pulpius is a tool that promotes task-based initiatives. The fact that task forces are institutionalised as a means in the organisation clearly encourages action to be taken when a problem situation arises. As the task force is implemented with Pulpius, the initiative becomes more serious in its perception because everyone knows that system stands for problem solving more than ever when management attention is assumed. The specific design and the powerful permissions system allow Pulpius to be used in any situation. This makes a big difference when it comes to resilience and serenity.
